Mayo Rape Crisis Centre exists to prevent and respond to crimes of rape, sexual abuse, and sexual violence. We provide free, professional, and confidential counselling to survivors and their families and friends within the community. Alongside counselling, we work to raise awareness of the realities of sexual violence through advocacy, education and specialist training.
Mayo Rape Crisis Centre is an independent, expert, and community-based non-governmental organisation (NGO), supported by a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, Board of Directors, and our wider network of supporters. We achieve our mission by upholding the highest standards of professionalism in counselling, advocacy, support, training, and awareness raising, ensuring that survivors of sexual violence are met with compassion, expertise, and hope.
