A Mayo News article on Government funding cutbacks which have filleted some essential services FOR 21 years Mayo Rape Crisis Centre (MRCC) has worked below the radar in providing an oasis for victims of sexual abuse. PhD candidate Joe Mooney from the UNESCO Child and Family Research Centre in NUIG is conducting his PhD research on adults’ experiences of disclosing childhood sexual abuse to child protection social work services.
